I really enjoyed our first lunch-hour (for me in EST) chat about Chani Nicholas’ book and now that we’ve got a feel for the book structure and a plan for how long we’re going to spend on this book, I can let you know that next week’s chat (and possibly the one after if we need more time for sharing) is going to be about the first key: our sun sign.
This is one chapter in the book, not all of which will apply to your chart and it involves a few journaling or contemplation questions that are unique to your particular sun sign and what house it’s in.
In the meantime, if you’re a giant office supply nerd, I’ve found that this is a book feels like a reference text in a lot of ways, so I used that as an excuse to replenish my favorite page tabs, whip out my favorite highlighters, and try out something new: transparent sticky notes!
Here’s the haul:

And here’s how things are looking now that I’ve organized the book to fit my brain:

The transparent post-its are a lot of fun! So far, I’m just playing around with using them as reference at the beginning of each chapter, noting my own info that’s relevant to the chapter, and then I also added my kiddo’s info and my spouse’s so that I could flip through those once done with reading the sections that apply to me.
The larger tabs mark the three keys (sun, moon, ascendant) and the appendix (lots of good reference there), and the smaller tabs mark the areas where there is reading relevant to my chart.
SO. If you’re looking to make use of tabs and post-its you already have on hand and maybe didn’t need when you purchased them (*wink*), here’s a great use for them! If you’re itching for new tabs or to play with something new, I’ve just enabled your ass, so hop over to your nearest office supply store and treat yourself.
Either way, I hope to see you at our next book chat, in the community server, or online somewhere while you’re making your way through the book. There are passages that have really help things click for me and I know that this book has that capacity for anyone looking to better understand their chart and subsequently better manage life, which is really all we’re ever learning when we delve into a better understanding of ourselves and how we relate to others.
See you soon, fellow souls! Let me know you’re finding the book over in our Chani book chat channel.
